Artful Counseling and Rosen Method Bodywork

I use body-centered counseling, Rosen Method bodywork, and the creative process to help people become aware of, explore, and embody their inner thoughts and feelings.

I have helped clients to use a wide variety of artistic expression methods, including painting, artistic movement, and writing to find a new perspective within themselves.  In my work leading creative renewal retreats, I found that supporting and accompanying people in their own visual expression and creative writing can be a powerful way of exploring the inner self.  Artistic self-expression is an often-neglected form of communication, and telling one's own story through visual, written, and performed art is a powerful tool to employ.

The leading researcher on Rosen Method bodywork in psychology, Dr. Alan Fogel, describes restorative embodied self-awareness as "a complete awareness in the sea of...felt experiences, all the ways in which we can be in touch with the inner condition of our bodies."

I use these tools to help my clients embrace the connection between their bodies, minds, and emotions in the present moment.  This process allows us to slow down to find ease and joy in our daily lives.

I offer online counseling for:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Support for life transitions

  • Caregiver stress

  • Support for the challenges of aging

  • Trauma recovery

I have worked as a professional counselor for 30 years. I am also a certified Rosen Method Bodywork practitioner and a licensed massage therapist (LMT).
